For the first webinar on Sustainability and Reporting, our Deputy Director, Ms Sue Meng Chan, demystified the concept of sustainability and its ESG areas, as well as the importance for businesses to integrate sustainability into their strategy and operations. She also shared about the various resources provided by GCNS that companies can tap into to learn and operationalise sustainability in their business.
In the second webinar of our SME Series 2022, we tackle the whys and hows of carbon management, as well as shed some light and address misconceptions, on the topic of RECs and how SMEs can leverage this tool. We were joined by Mr Zulkhairi Pasuni, Commercial and Sales Lead from Sembcorp Industries, who explained how RECs work and the role they play in reducing global emissions.
In the third webinar of the SME Series 2022, our guest speakers from UOB shed light on the trends and importance of sustainable finance and UOB’s sustainable financing frameworks to help companies fund their projects. This was followed by a sharing of the challenges and opportunities for SMEs in accessing green finance.
